Madison Heights are delighted to help support this amazing charity by hosting a Soul & Motown Charity Event on Friday 16th February 2018 at Roddington Forge, Allington Lane, Southampton SO30 3HQ. An excellent night is guaranteed and the opportunity to donate to such a worthy cause.
Why Dreams Come True Charity
From the vast range of charities out there, we’ve chosen Dreams Come True because we were particularly inspired by the work that they do to enrich the lives of children and young people. This is something that we can totally understand and appreciate, to be able to provide a meaningful and memorable experience which has a positive and important impact on their lives and the lives of their families.
Most of us have the means to fulfil our own individual dreams and aspirations, we believe in this charity’s work to fulfil a child’s dreams for any child or young person with a life limiting or long term condition. We also realise that the magic of a dream goes way beyond that experience. A dream fulfilled provides enduring and treasured memories and an enhanced sense of well-being that can empower everyone involved.
For example, 5 years ago, Ruby was a 15-year-old budding singer-songwriter when tragedy struck. A serious accident left her unable to walk, talk or play the guitar. After six years of rehab, Ruby can now talk and has taught herself to play the guitar again from scratch. However, she still relies on a wheelchair and endures pain on a daily basis. Ruby is a huge Ed Sheeran fan so for her dream, Dreams Come True arranged tickets for his show in Nottingham.

Kelly’s Dopey Challenge
Kelly-Marie, our lead singer, has already completed a series of running events for Dreams Come True and is currently in training for the The Dopey Challenge, which is 5k, 10k, a half and a full marathon across 4 consecutive days. Believe me, she’s a lot better at singing than running!, so it’s a very true challenge for a very worthy charity that we’re proud to be supporting. Hopefully by the time our gig comes along we can also celebrate Kelly becoming a proud Dopey Challenge Completer!
